Largest Floating Market, Wild Canal System And Organic Chocolate

5 hours and 30 minutes

Easy

We will have authentic experiences visiting the largest floating market, a local noodle factory, a cocoa farm, wild small canals, and peaceful villages, allowing you to truly explore the real life of the Mekong area.
Embark on a sampan and witness the vibrant trading activities of Cairang Floating Market, the largest floating market in Vietnam. Goods exchanged include fresh fruits and vegetables, such as pineapples and mangos. Experience a unique breakfast, ordering from floating restaurants and cafes which offer delicious noodle soup and strong Vietnamese coffee—a perfect combination to start your day.
We will then cruise into the jungle through small, yet complex canal systems, which provide a serene home to diverse flora and fauna. Allow yourself time to relax and meditate on this tranquil part of the trip.
Next on our trip is a visit to an organic cocoa farm. The owner’s father brought the plants back from a trip to Malaysia in 1960, introducing an extremely different crop to the region. All handmade and processed, these chocolate goods are a labour of love for this family. We will also explore a four-decade old noodle village and participate in the making of rice noodles the traditional way.
